01/23/2007 Bears(ROCKPORT, MAINE - SAMOSET) - On Monday, January 22, 2007 Rockland firefighter and paramedic, Joe Moore addressed Rockland Kiwanis with information focused on emergency care needs and technology. The Rockland Fire Department is seeking donations to purchase a battery powered bone injection device known as the EZ-IO Drill that can be used to administer IV's when traditional methods are impossible. Also, Moore will be delivering donated teddy bears that will be used to comfort children who are receiving emergency care. If you are interested in donating teddy bears or funds for the EZ-IO Drill, simply call Joe Moore at 594-0318. Are you interested in Kiwanis? 01/17/2007 ROCKLAND KIWANIS DONATE BOOKS TO WARREN LIBRARY (WARREN, MAINE) - Rockland Kiwanis recently donated 10 children's books to the Warren Public Library. On hand to receive the books were Dominic Civittolo and his mother Janna along with Kiwanian and Warren Assistant Librarian, Russ Cloutier. Rockland Kiwanis received the books from Volunteers of America and will be making donations to other local libraries. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Rockland Kiwanis meet every

 

 

01/15/2007 Georges Valley HS Key Club Visits Rockland Kiwanis Club  (ROCKPORT, MAINE - SAMOSET) - On Monday, January 15, 2007 the Rockland Kiwanis Club hosted very special guests; the Georges Valley High School Key Club at the regularly held Monday Kiwanis meeting. These productive and caring Key Club Members shared their latest efforts to give back to their community. Kiwanis President Jane Dagley presented a Kiwanis mug to Key Club President Jesse Ellis.
