07/10/2006 University of Maine Research and Develpment Director Jake Ward (center) was a guest speaker at a recent Rockland Kiwanis meeting. Rockland Kiwanian Al McNealy ( left ) introduced Ward who was also joined by State Rep. Chris Rector.

05/22/2006 Rockland Kiwanis donated $100.00 to the Rockland Police Department towards purchasing child ID Kits. Rockland Kiwanis Chair of it's Priority 1 committee John Batty (center) presents a check to Rockland Police Chief Bruce Boucher as Dare officer Tony Camporiale holds ID kits. These kits are available at the Rockland Police station.

04/5/2006 The Rockland Kiwanis Club donated $500.00 to the Penobscot Bay YMCA. Accepting the check from Rockland Kiwanis Priority One Chair John Batty is YMCA representative Jennifer Curtis.

04/5/2006   The Rockland Kiwanis donated $750.00 to Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) at a recent meeting. Accepting the check was Rob Cleveland ( 2nd from right ), Treasurer of Area Interfaith Outreach from Pam Feyler, Chair of Rockland Kiwanis Community Outreach. Also at the presentation ( from left ) was Rockland Kiwanian and A.I.O. volunteer Wayne Keiderling and Rockland Kiwanis President Carol Kelley. Area Interfaith Outreach is an all volunteer organization and has no paid staff.

04/5/2006   Joint Venture. On 3/18/06 the Rockland Kiwanis and Rockland Rotary joined forces in March to sponsor a Saint Patricks Day dinner and dance with any proceeds to be donated to the Maine Lighthouse Museum in Rockland. Presenting a check of $250 to Bob Hastings ( right ) Managing Director of the museum is Kiwanis President Elect Jane Dagley and Rotary President Elect Fred Newcomb.
