11/21/05 Gift of Food Money and Clothing for Families of young children under 5 to the Salvation Army for Thanksgiving. Priority one project all money and items came from Rockland Kiwanis members. Special thank to Hannaford and there donation of 5 certificates for turkeys. 

11/8/05 The Rockland Kiwanis awarded member Joe Catalano, center, with a Hixson Fellowship. Catalano has been very active with the Rockland Kiwanis and has been chairperson of the Kiwanis Haunted House and this years Inaugural Halloween Costume Ball, major fund raisers for the club. The Kiwanis International Foundation Board of Trustees created the George W. Hixson Fellowship in 1983 to honor the first Kiwanis International President.  The Rockland Kiwanis club donated $1,000.00 in Catalano’s name to the Kiwanis International Foundation Endowment.  Sumner Kinney, immediate past Division 4 Lieutenant Governor and Rockland Kiwanis member, and Rockland Kiwanis President Carol Kelley join Catalano who is holding the Hixson medallion which is encased in a walnut and velvet shadow box.

11/8/05 Daryle Weiss accepts a Thank You and a Kiwanis coffee mug form Rockland Kiwanis President Carol Kelley after addressing the club at it’s weekly meeting.  Weiss a teacher at Rockland District High School as well as the football coach spoke about his experiences as a teacher and coach.
