08/29/2005 John Begin, representing A Family for ME., accepts a thank you and Kiwanis mug from Rockland Kiwanis Vice President Jane Dagley after addressing the group. Begin spoke how A Family for ME working with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services seeks to find resources for every child in the foster care system.

09/07/2005 Rockland Kiwanis President Steve Poulin presents to Rockland Rotary President Sherree Craig a check for $500.00 to be directed to Rotary International¹s relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The presentation took place at a joint Rotary and Kiwanis meeting which may be the first time the two Rockland service groups have met together in their long history of service to the local communities.

09/07/2005  Kiwanis President mugged. Rockland Kiwanis President Steve Poulin was presented a Rotary mug by Rockland Rotary President Sherree Craig at the conclusion of a recent joint Rotary, Kiwanis meeting held at the Samoset Resort. Many in attendance could not recollect there ever being such a joint meeting of the two local service groups possibly making this a historic mugging.
