05/23/2005 Kiwanis Support. The major sponsors of the Kiwanis Family Safety Festival presented a check to Greg Hamlin Chairperson of the event. Representing Liberty Hospitality of Maine was Gordon Page, Director of Sales & Marketing (left), Hamlin, and Becky Crane Manager of the Rockland branch of The First.


 

05/23/2005 Rockland Kiwanis donation of $1500.00 to the Laura Libby playground committee helped them inch closer to their goal of $45,000.00. When the committee reaches $40,000.00 , they are now at $33,000.00 , the Samoset Resort will donate the remaining $5,000.00 needed. Accepting the Kiwanis donation from Priority One Chairperson Barb Hersey (right) is Laura Libby playground Chairperson Juliet Russell and her son Connor. 

05/23/2005 Rockland Kiwanis donated $1500.00 to the Union Elementary School to be used to purchase new playground equipment. Accepting the check from Rockland Kiwanis Priority One Chairperson Barbara Hersey ( left ) is Richard Blackman Principal of Union Elementary School and Cindy Rodgers a parent volunteer and playground committee member. Kiwanis also presented a $500 check on the same day to the Rockport Elementary School to be used to pay for equipment already purchased. Kiwanis has donated a total of $3500.00 to area schools for playground projects.
